My Story
Mark Benecke was born in South Africa . His interest in exploration and wild life conservation began as a child when he visited the world renowned Kruger National Game Park. It was on this trip that his intrepid sense of adventure was born. After completing his schooling at the prestigious Eden College in Johannesburg he spent two years in the South African army as part of the Intelligence Unit during the Angolan Bush War. It was during his time in the army that Mark developed an interest in exploring Africa and its people and their diverse cultures. For 25 years Mark travelled Southern Africa as an Adventurer, Writer, Entrepreneur, Explorer, Educator, Missionary, Bush Pilot and Safari Guide. Mark is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and has advanced Degrees in Theology, Business Management and is trained in Logotherapy. He is also an experienced Herpetologist and Aquaculturist, and is pursuing his interest in Anthropology.
In recent years Mark has put pen to paper and has tried to express his musings of this Journey of Life as he's experienced it up until now. It is through these writings and poetry that he would like to share his thoughts and emotions on this journey with you.
